that in their position right now that was used during the shooting, but they are still on the lookout for a 2001 is white buick with d.c. tags. they want anybody in the community to come forward if they saw that vehicle around 13th and u. street or in the 1100 block of gerard street. they're telling us they believe this stems from an argument that happened outside of the funeral yesterday at about 1:00. the chief said they believe there are gang members involved with this. at this point they don't know if the argument stemmed from the funeral as they were mourning young ashley mckay here yesterday afternoon. so at thisit appears as though they are still looking for an additional suspect, possibly two more in this case. they said it was the community that came forward and helped them find this 21-year-old brandon miller that they arrested last night. they still want people to be on the lookout for the 2001 buick from d.c. tags and we'll have the latest on the story as it continues to develop. let's listen real quick to what the police chief and mayor fenty had to say moments ago. >> what happened here on

vacation traffic. d.c. metro has the second worst gridlock in the nation. joining us from along the beltway, john townsend. good morning. >> good morning. >> i guess we can be glad we don't have the worst. >> we have the second worst. look at this on 95 and 495. the concourse of 95 and 495, absolute gridlock. this will take almost 45 minutes to untangle and if you're here and you don't see or hear us, your stuck in absolute gridlock. >> how much can we blame on this terrible traffic tuesday, back to school and back to work, as opposed to any other tuesday this time of year? >> well if you live in this area, you know it's been a bad summer. especially in summer with all of the construction going on. but now this is ground zero because everyone comes back to work, everybody is back from vacation and all of the school systems are operational today and that explains this next us of gridlock that we see here today and will feel throughout the area. think about this, there are 3 million workers in our area, 1.5 million of them will drive to work alone. 500,000 people on metro. and you have to inc

temperatures back into the upper 80s. a few of us will touch 90. currently 71 at reagan national. a lot of 60s off to the north and west. 65 in hagerstown. 64 in frederick. 73 the winning number in ocean city if you're lucky enough to have another day down at the beach. should be great down there. and 70 in fredericksberg. and a lot of quiet out there. high pressure continuing across the washington area. so more bright sunshine today. a little more humidity than what has been around the last couple of days but not anything compared to july and august levels so it will still be plenty comfortable out there but hot with highs in the upper 80s to about 90. cold front toward chicago, that will cool us down later this week. i'll have more details on that in a couple of minutes. but a lot of sunshine and 89 your afternoon high. more details in the forecast in a minute. we'll look at tropical storm hermine as well. >> tucker, thank you. >>> to a developing story in montgomery county. the ramps from i-270 to and from old georgetown road and rock ledge drive are closed with police activity because of a

is following the story for us and joins us now with more. sara? >> reporter: tony and allison, fire crews worked late into the evening putting out hot spots at the scene. the fire spread pretty quickly, and firefighters from manassas, prince william county and manassas park were called in to help. officials believe the fire started in the house in the middle and it burned to the ground. >> reporter: this view from sky fox shows you the devastating nature of this fire, three homes side by side up in flames. scores of firefighters virtually powerless to stop it before the damage was done. investigators believe the fire started in the middle house then quickly spread in both directions. >> it's beyond the expression of words. >> reporter: two people did suffer minor injuries. one woman was in shock because of the sight of seeing her home destroyed. >> we got outside, everybody. >> reporter: but the memories, everything inside was destroyed. >> they couldn't save anything. >> reporter: the flames and heat spreading quickly. >> with much fire you need a lot of water and a lot of hoses, a lot o
